We are pleased to inform you that Jeroen Molenaar's installations will be presented at the former dairy factory at KiK. KiK is located in former dairy factory 'De Venen' in Kolderveen, which is in the province of Drenthe, in The Netherlands. For different periods of time, artists coming from various disciplines, are taking part in the 'Artist in Residence' (AIR) programme, by living and working at KiK.
Based on a project proposal, contemporary national and international artists are invited to participate. Participating artists: Stefan Gross, Robert Roelink, Veronique Schrama, Wessel de Ruiter and Jeroen Molenaar.
Molenaar’s multifaceted work is situated on the edges of art, and architecture. Working with sculpture, photography and paintings, he connects these (and other) media within a common architectural theme.
The basis for his work is a fascination for construction, what he sees as a significant element in our everyday world. Jeroen raises questions of public space and its infrastructure, of boundaries between functionality and the autonomy of an object, forms and structures.
