NY-LON: Tall Buildings

Tall Buildings
May 2, 2014
8:30 – 10:30AM
Kohn Pedersen Fox
11 West 42nd Street

NLA is conducting a major Insight Study into tall buildings in London to look at the significant growth in the number of planning applications for high-rise residential schemes in the capital. New York is also no stranger to tall buildings: the Accidental Skyline report by The Municipal Art Society of New York highlights key issues in New York around tall buildings and the city’s skyline.

This event will compare the London experience of tall buildings with that of New York and examine policy, planning and design in each city to compare how both cities are dealing with the major rise in this building typology.

This special seminar is the fifth in an NLA series supported by KPF, and in association with the Forum + Institute for Urban Design, and takes place simultaneously in New York and London to share knowledge and explore the key issues facing the built environment in both cities.

This event is free to attend but advance registration is necessary.
