In its seventh year, Archifest is a festival of ideas about the city organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA). Taking place at various venues across Singapore, the festival is a platform for local and regional communities of creative individuals, thinkers and enthusiasts of the built environment to engage each other and the public in imagining a city of the future through initiating change in the present.

The Archifest Pavillion is the centrepiece of Archifest 2013. This year, in addition to the Pavilion Design Competition, SIA Young Architects League (YAL) will be holding a virtual design competition exclusively for SIA Student and Associate Members. This ideas competition involves participants to demonstrate the use of parametric design and 3D printing to design their interpretation of the Archifest Pavillion. Shortlisted submissions will be showcased during Archifest.

Competition and registration will start on the 5th of July and the deadline for submission is on Friday 30 August 2013, 12 noon.
