Rafael Viñoly Architects PC’s design for The New Domino entered the ULURP (Uniform Land Use Review Procedure) public review process on Monday January 4, 2010. This is a major official step forward for the project, which will create 660 units of affordable housing and four acres of public park space including a riverfront esplanade along the East River in Brooklyn. The mixed-income, mixed-used New Domino is sponsored by The Refinery, LLC, with the Community Preservation Corporation’s for-profit, developmental subsidiary CPC Resources (CPCR) as managing partner. CPC’s collective goal in undertaking the project is the development of significant affordable housing.
