You’ve embraced a field that gives you a rather special view of the world around you. Moreover, you’ve embraced a field that allows you to impact this world in many ways. You can do this through your ideas, your concepts, your designs, your projects, but also through your drawings, your illustrations, your writings, your speeches, ...
But of course, you’ll need help to get there. That’s what this ebook and the advice it contains are all about. The content has been produced with great care. It is well-crafted, concise and easy to read.

What is Devenir Architecte?
Devenir Architecte is a team of young architects committed to promoting architecture and training and advising student architects. Because we’re aware of the enormous contribution architecture makes to building a better world, we’re working to boost awareness among a large audience.
That’s why we share with you the philosophies, projects, events and competitions that embody the profession’s most noble values. And because we know that training in this field is fraught with difficulties, we’re working to provide training and support for students and young professionals. We aim to help them stand out from the crowd, succeed in their search for internships or jobs, and promote their work.
We’re convinced that, no matter where you come from or where you study, you can succeed in architecture. It’s up to you to give yourself the means to do so. This conviction led us to create the "Devenir Architecte" community.

Why read this ebook?
As architects who graduated from architecture schools, we’ve experienced this environment's reality.
- Training that demands passion and 100% commitment;
- A training program that requires us to be constantly learning;
- A training program where curiosity about everything contrasts with an obsession for detail;
- A training program where you have to deal with confusion, criticism, doubt, pressure, sleepless nights, stress, etc.
However, it’s still a training program in which we take pleasure in continually learning to improve ourselves and the world around us. Even great architects admit to continuing to learn every day, after years or even decades of experience. That’s how you set yourself apart as an architect.
"Learn is more" is a concept that represents this mindset we share. This ebook is the first in a series covering topics such as architectural competitions, portfolios, internship and job searches, etc. The advice in this ebook will make a positive and lasting difference to your experience in architecture school and beyond.
