Design Week Lagos (DWL) is a movement more than merely a festival. Lagos is transformed into a living, breathing canvas of design brilliance during DWL, Africa's premier design week, which is a citywide celebration of creativity and innovation. 

Design Week Lagos will take place from October 23rd to 28th, 2025 to celebrate creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship.

This year’s theme is “Made in Africa: Shaping Industries, Shaping Futures.” 

The festival is bringing together the best of African and international design through innovative exhibitions, conferences, workshops, installations, and citywide experiences. With a dynamic schedule of exhibitions, seminars, tours, installations, and product debuts, DWL engages the entire city, from showrooms and schools to galleries and restaurants, drawing inspiration from international models like the London Design Festival and Milan Design Week.

DWL was established with the goal of promoting African design and acts as a vital platform that helps local creatives, supports local businesses, and establishes Lagos as a major hub for design worldwide. In order to engage, inspire, and create an inclusive design future, it brings together architects, interior designers, product designers, innovators, and thought leaders from a variety of disciplines.

In addition to showcasing Africa's rich cultural legacy, DWL encourages innovative thinking, which propels design-led economic expansion and industrial change throughout the continent.
