Established in 2005, Helsinki Design Week is the biggest Design Festival in the Nordics. 

The next edition will be held from 8 to 18 September 2022, online and out in the city of Helsinki, Finland. 

The program of the event always includes Main Events, Companion Events and Satellite Events. The Open Call will begin in March and the programme will be launched in June. The Design Market application period will also begin in 1 March 2022.

This year's theme is "We are open", which will develop an argument promoting the value of openness. Without the open call for events for its programme and the continuous multidisciplinary collaboration, the event would not have grown into what they are today. 

In September 2022, the event will reopen the doors to the city, to its most interesting galleries, shops, studios and showrooms. It will proudly present its local community and the results of its creativity – design can provide new ways to look at, listen and perceive the world.

Organized yearly in September, this multi-sector event presents the different disciplines of design as well as fashion, architecture and urban culture. Helsinki Design Week’s festival programme includes exhibitions, workshops, open houses, seminars, fashion shows and much more. The events are targeted for both professionals and the general public.

The event's Main Events, Companion Events and Satellite events will take place around the city and online.
