The IRCEO (Iran Construction Engineering  Organization) is the counterpart of the NCARB (The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards of the U.S.) in Iran. The IRCEO deals with a variety of different tasks. Before we continue on how Iranian architects and engineers are accredited by the IRCEO, it is important to know how Iranian architects and engineers are working in the country. The typical path to becoming an architect or engineer is to enroll in a bachelor program in your desired field. After graduation, you have to work 3 years  as an intern under the supervision of an accredited firm or person. After 3 years of internship, you are qualified to take the entrance exam. The exam is something similar to the NCARB's ARE exams but contrary to the ARE, the exam is paper-based.
