Toni L. Griffin gives a talk on 11 February for Irish Architecture Foundation’s New Now Next series

The final instalment of the Irish Architecture Foundation’s current series of "New Now Next", at 6pm on 11 February 2021, architect and urban planning expert Toni L. Griffin will deliver a virtual talk, with an introduction from Michelle Joan Wilkinson, Museum Curator (Architecture and Design) at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian Institution.
Toni L. Griffin is the founder of urbanAC, a New York-based planning and design management practice that works with public, private and non-profit organisations to reimagine, reshape and rebuild just cities and communities. Over the past ten years, her practice has worked with several major U.S cities on the cusp of economic recovery including Chicago, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Detroit.
Ms. Griffin is also the founder and director of Harvard’s Just City Lab, an applied research platform that investigates the ways design can have a positive impact on addressing the conditions of injustice in cities. Griffin’s practice designs transformative social and spatial urban revitalisation frameworks, rooted in addressing historic and current disparities involving race, class and generation.
