Update: The festival has been postponed due to Covid-19.
The Tilburg Architecture Film Festival (TIAFF) will be holding its fourth edition with 16 films and 10 speakers within this year's theme "Models & Ruins" on September 18-19 in Tilburg, Netherlands.
TIAFF is an annual film festival screening films, shorts, animations and documentaries about architecture, landscape, urbanism, urban development and city culture.
TIAFF Ambassador Winy Maas, co-founder of MVRDV and founder of The Why Factory, will give the opening lecture at Cinema Cinecitta (the lecture was previously planned on Friday, April 17, 2020 but the new dates will be shared later).
With "Models & Ruins", TIAFF explores the transience and vulnerability of designs and ideal models in architecture and urban planning. What at one moment is an ideal model for a new building, a new city or a new society, can become obsolete, irrelevant or out of fashion due to a changing zeitgeist.
You can see the program of TIAFF here. The program will be held at Arthouse Cinema Cinecitta which has four cinema rooms, a restaurant / cafe and an inner courtyard.
You can buy the tickets via TIAFF's website or on the site of Arthouse Cinema Cinecitta.
