UIA2014 Mobile App

The UIA2014 is proud to announce the launch of a Mobile Application for the Architecture Otherwhere Congress, to be held in Durban between August 3-7 August. The launch of this App is to give you information about the events on your mobile devices, ensuring you have the most up to date information at your fingertips.

To download the App, please go to the following link in the mail on your device. Then select the option applicable for your device. This will start the upload process on your device. As this will be the first time you download the App it may take a minute or so because of the content that will be downloaded, but the time should speed up once you have most of the content on your device.

User Name

Your username is generated from the name you used for registration. There are a few things to remember for those with slightly different names:

Double-barrel names as surnames – drop the first of the two names and use the second. e.g. Patrick-Smith becomes smith;
Where there are two or three words in a surname – drop the first. e.g. Van Der Merwe becomes Merwe. Du Toit becomes toit;
Where there is an apostrophe in the name, remove it. e.g. O’Brian becomes obrian.
In the case of the first name use only the very first name in the list of names you have registered with. If it is Maria-Teresa, this will become maria.

Should you have any problems, please send an e-mail to [email protected] who will respond to your e-mail within 3 hours during South African working hours.

Please state your name and the organisation you are affiliated to.

You will then be sent the correct Username and Password.
