Three-tower waterfront mega-development designed by Richard Meier and Rafael Viñoly, and KPF tops out on Manhattan's Upper West Side, New York, which has been announced by GID Development Group.

After more than 25 years of planning, Donald Trump's original vision for the 77-acre (311,608s-square-metre) Riverside South Master Plan will finally see completion with Waterline Square - the luxury, 5-acre (20,234-square-metre), three tower mega-development on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

Designed by three world-renowned architects, One Waterline Square by Richard Meier & Partners Architects reached 37 stories, Two Waterline Square by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) reached 38 stories and Three Waterline Square by Viñoly Architects reached to 34 stories, Hill West Architects is the executive architect of the project.

Located on one of the last remaining waterfront sites in Manhattan between West 59th Street and West 61st Street on the Hudson River, Waterline Square, which is slated to commence closings in late 2018, features 263 condominiums that begin on or above the 20th floor of each building. With interiors by Champalimaud Design, Yabu Pushelberg, and Groves & Co, residences offer extraordinary river and city views, all set within a serene park.

"It has been an amazing journey seeing this historic project come to fruition. With all three buildings being constructed simultaneously, Waterline Square will offer its residents a new and complete neighborhood that is unlike any other in New York City, and we’re thrilled with the pace of construction," said James Linsley, President of GID Development Group.

"We have created something that is unmatched by any other development — with close proximity to both the water and green space — and Waterline Square has already changed the game in this coveted neighborhood. We look forward to welcoming our first buyers at the close of 2018."

Waterline Square represents an unprecedented approach to urban living and will complete the historic transformation of Riverside Boulevard that has spanned more than two decades along the Hudson River.

Developed concurrently, each glass building will be distinct, while gesturing to each other harmoniously. The array of one- to five-bedroom homes feature a rich selection of hand-picked materials, custom kitchen cabinetry and marble baths with custom-designed vanities, over-sized windows, and high ceilings.

In addition to enjoying spectacular sunsets over the Hudson River, the three buildings will surround a new, beautifully landscaped park at the heart of the development. Encompassing nearly three acres, the Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects-designed space features a stunning landscape that encompasses tree-lined groves, open grass areas, walking paths, a playground, fountains, and other water features.

"Waterline Square has already made a big impact on the market, and now people can see how these buildings will reshape the New York skyline," said Kelly Kennedy Mack, President of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, exclusive marketing and sales agent for Waterline Square.

"Since launching sales earlier this year, reception from buyers has been overwhelming, which is no surprise given the development’s extraordinary caliber of design and immense lifestyle offering."
