Inmobiliaria Quiero Casa and the Mexican architect Enrique Norten, director and founder of the firm Ten Arcquitectos, have presented Calle 4, a real estate project in Mexico City that offers a functional and aesthetic housing complex. The Calle 4 is designed to interact with the community and its surrounding urban environment in an harmonious way.
The 9,950-square-meter complex (including parking) is located in the Pantitlan area, which is only 10 minutes away from the Terminal 2 of the International Airport of Mexico City and a few blocks away from a subway station that connects with 4 subway lines and one bus line. Around this area there are several schools, parks, sports facilities, hospitals, supermarkets, banks and ATMs.
The architectural proposal by Enrique Norten offers a lively environment to the whole area, thanks to its attractive design based on the idea that this is a project with regenerative value which seeks to create a profound change into the city.
"This particular zone of the city was chosen because it allowed a change from an industrial area to a housing one, with a privileged location close to a massive transportation system and with sufficient urban infrastructure," architect Adrián Hernández, Project Director of Inmobiliaria Quiero Casa told World Architecture Community.
"The project was developed on a 2,700 square-meter land, of which approximately 800 square-metre are dedicated to recreational spaces, playgrounds and an outdoor gymnasium," detailed Hernández.
The complex, distributed in six towers, includes 126 homes, with four apartments per level, each one with a master bedroom, secondary bedroom, living - dining room, bathroom, kitchen and a laundry room.
"In Quiero Casa we are always open to the possibility of involving well known architects. We constantly search for projects that can be developed in places that offer an excellent location and that constribuite at the same time to build a better city," said Hernández.
