In the urban fabric of Atlanta that can be sprawling and disconnected at times, the High Museum of Art in Midtown frames a central node of cultural activity for the Arts District of Atlanta.The museum, which opened in the early 1980s, was designed by Richard Meier, who won the 1984 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
