Call for entries to Young Architects Competitions’ Lamborghini Road Monument Competition

Young Architects Competitions has announced new competition for architects, designers, students to design two road monuments, becoming the landmarks of the new plants of Automobili Lamborghini at the entrance of its historic plants.
YAC collaborated with Lamborghini, the world-wide renowned Italian luxury super sports cars manufacturer, to celebrate its third model of the House of the Bull SUV 2018-will soon be leading the market as the new Made in Italy luxury icon: a supersport car among the SUVs.
The competition of Automobili Lamborghini invites all architects, designers and students to build two architectonic landmarks aimed at marking the entrances of Sant’Agata Bolognese and its plant. Two landmarks to celebrate the legend and sculpt in matter the history of speed, power and innovation.

Aimed at creating an internationally known intervention, Lamborghini Road Monument will soon mark contemporary architecture significantly. Moreover, it will give the opportunity to value the talent of the designers working for the House of the Bull, which is one of the most prestigious and renowned brands in the world. Lamborghini thanks all the designers who will take part in this challenge.
The plant is placed between the countryside of Bologna and the little town of Sant’Agata. It covers more than 316.000 sqm and it will be complete thanks to the new installations aimed at ease the traffic and to clearly show the accesses to a place that marked the automotive history.
The museum displays the brand's luxury sports cars and SUVs, which have been produced since 1963
According to the competition brief, the design should reflect the character and the values of Lanborghini- one of the most renowned and valued brand of the international scenario in an architectonic installation.
The international jury is comprised of acclaimed architects including Patrik Schumacher form Zaha Hadid Architects, Fabio Novembre from Studio Fabio Novembre, Yama Karim from studio Libeskind, Nicola Scaranaro from Foster+Partners, Giuseppe Cappochin from AWN, Annalisa Trentin from UNIBO, Stefano Domenicali from Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., Francesco Dal Co from Casabella.

Prizes for the competition with € 20.000 cash prize in total:
1st prize 12.000 € + construction + 1 year subscription Casabella
2nd prize 4.000 € + 1 year subscription Casabella
3rd prize 2.000 € + 1 year subscription Casabella
Honorable mentions “Gold” 1.000 € + 1 year subscription Casabella
Honorable mentions “Gold” 1.000 € + 1 year subscription Casabella
10 Honorable mentions 1 year subscription Casabella
30 Finalists 1 year subscription Casabella +All the awarded proposals will be transmitted to architectural magazines and websites + will be hosted in international exhibitions. All the finalist proposals will be published on YAC's website.
