Jeanne Gang, founder of Studio Gang and the prominent name for Women in Architecture, spoke about 'tall buildings' at the New York Times Cities for Tomorrow Conference, which held on July 18-19 in the Times Center, New York. The experts from The New York Times convened the world’s foremost thinkers, policymakers, developers, entrepreneurs, industry stars and others at Cities for Tomorrow, the must-attend event for leaders who are shaping the urban environments of the future.

In a conversation between the NYTimes' Ginia Bellafante and Jeanne Gang, the architect explained the key components of the tall buildings making connection with people and public such as balconies, common areas make it possible to have it connect.

''One of the things we really care about passionately are the waterways in the city and how do we open that backup so that former industrial lands can become places for social connectivity,'' said Gang.
