The Chicago-based artist Marc Fischer has published a statement on Hardcore Architecture, which is a project of Marc Fischer and Public Collectors. The statement was about the invitation of 2015 Chicago Architecture Preview. Upon the invitation of senior editor from The Architect’s Newspaper, Fischer has taken an invitation to submit his opinions to The Architect’s Newspaper for a piece about the upcoming Chicago Architecture Biennial. However, Fischer has published his complete response on Hardcore Architecture, which functioned as a statement regarding the Biennial.
Marc Fischer also stated that copies of this statement will be available at the next exhibition of the project at The Outhaus in Urbana, Illinois on October 3rd. He added that ''the senior editor that contacted me from The Architect’s Newspaper asked to have their name withheld. Ultimately it doesn’t really matter who asked these questions. What matters is that they are the wrong questions to ask.''
In the letter of senior editor, there are 5 questions, asked to Fischer about 2015 Chicago Architecture Biennial, here's the full transcript of the letter from the editor although it seems on the image completely:

Marc,
Hi. I'm writing to invite you to participate in our upcoming Chicago Biennial Preview. We are asking local architects, artists, designers, celebrities and creative professionals about Chicago. Aimed at visitors of the Biennial, this is a survey of the town and all it has to offer: architecture, art, urbanism, public spaces, food, nightlife, shopping, etc..
Can you answer the following questions and return them by September 15th? Thanks!
Where are you most looking forward at the Biennial?
Where's is your favorite place to take out-of-towners to give them an idea of what Chicago is really like?
Top 5 pieces of Chicago Architecture?
What's Chicago's most architectural bar?
Which skyscraper do you most identify with and why? Willis Tower, John Hancock Center, Aqua, or Marina City?

Here's the full transcript of Marc Fischer's answer although it seems on the image completely:
Dear [name withheld],
Thank you for your interest in my opinion. In light of BP's sponsorship of the Chicago Architecture Biennial, and that company's history of enormous environmental distruction, I will not contribute in any way to promotion of this event. Additionally, given that the Biennial is Major Rahm Emanuel's vision for an international architectural event, perhaps you might consider soliciting answers to the following questions:
What are you most looking forward to about Rahm Emanuel calling for the largest property tax increase in modern Chicago history?
What is your favorite mental health clinic now that six of them have been closed by Major Emanuel?
Top 5 pieces of Chicago Architecture chosen from the 49 schools closed by Rahm Emanuel?
What's Chicago's most architectural space used for torture in the secret black site in Homan Square?
Which skyscraper provides the greatest distraction from issues of real consequence that impact the lives of Chicago residents that live everywhere else?
Sincerely,
Marc Fischer
