Deadline for ideas / concepts: 15 June 2015
Implementation period of selected projects: 15 April–15 July 2016
As part of Wroclaw’s tenure as European Capital of Culture 2016, Goethe-Institut is looking for projects in the areas of performance ( in a very wide sense) and contemporary art that can be realized in a container (about 6x3x3 m) with three transparent walls located in a public square in Wroclaw (the “Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavilion”).
To celebrate Wroclaw’s tenure as European Capital of Culture 2016, the Goethe-Institut is setting up a temporary exhibition and performance space in a public square of the city for about three months (15 April to 15 July 2016) and in the form of an about 6x3x3m container, enclosed in glass on three sides (the “Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavilion”). The pavilion will serve as the basis for a site-specific, interdisciplinary cultural programme with a German-Polish focus, whose aim is to include the public and encourage it to participate.
