Fahad has a Bachelor of Architecture and Building Science from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and a Masters degree with honours in Design Science, Building Services/Technology and Facility Management from the University of Sydney in Australia. Then He is awarded a P.hD degree from School of Civil Engineering, the University of Sydney. He is interested in understanding the relations between architecture, engineering and construction with a focus on costing. His PhD research focuses on understanding and classifying the causes of cost overrun on infrastructure projects and he has developed a cost contingency model to improve cost forecasting in infrastructure projects. He is a lecturer at the College of Architecture & Planning at King Saud University where he works in the Sustainable Infrastructure Planning System project. Fahad has collaborated with the Centre for Complex Engineering Systems at King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology and MIT.
