FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, a division of the Iris Ceramica Group, was founded in 1998 when its Chairman, Romano Minozzi, decided to act on an inspirational idea: he would manufacture natural stones, retaining all their exquisite appearance but improving their technical properties.
FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti constructs products conceived to free the creativity of architects, designers and planners by offering a large range of natural stones suitable for the most widely varying applications, from major projects to small residential contexts.
Environmentally aware since its foundation, FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti was the first Italian firm to obtain biocompatibility certification from the ANAB {Associazione Nazionale per l`Architettura Bioecologica - Italian Bioecological Architecture Association}.
Thanks to the organisation and strict regular audits of its industrial processes, the entire FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti production operation has been certified as compliant with ISO 9001 with regard to quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management, and with the EU EMAS regulations.
FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti has taken on the role as main sponsor of the XXIII UIA World Architecture Congress with enthusiasm, setting the seal on its deep bond with and genuine passion for architecture, the art of designing buildings in the service of mankind.
