Archimedes is an Urbanist and Local Government Analyst who researches urban development processes and local government affairs in Southern Africa. He also researches strategies for Local Economic Development and management of Local Government Affairs in Southern African economies. In his early career, Archimedes balances various roles, as a researcher, writer, student and technical assistant. If there is a mission that has been consistent in his career, that is “to explore settings for sustainable urban development process in Southern Africa”. In a world of polarised debates, Archimedes seeks to contribute to centred debates on sustainable urban settings, planning economics and local government affairs. His recent research interests include the sustainability of China-Africa engagement in urban development and management. Archimedes graduated in Regional and Urban Planning and he is studying for a Master of Public Administration at Central European University.
