Leyla Sezer read Architecture at the Middle East Technical University graduating in 1973. In 1979 she received a Master of Architecture degree from the Restoration Department in the Faculty of Architecture of the same University.
After working in Turkey from 1972 to 1981, lived in Iran for 3 years before she moved to the UK in 1983. She has acted as a Senior Designer and a Project Director with RHWL, SOM, RTKL, YRM on a number of commercial, education, retail and transport projects till April 2006. She set up her own design practice LS Design Consultancy on February 2007.
