Juan Carlos Doblado (Lima, 1963)

Graduated as an architect from Universidad Ricardo Palma. Participated in a stage at the Institut Supérieure d’ Architecture de La Cambre, in Brussels. Was awarded with the Gold Medal at the World Forum for Young Architects in 1993.

Has worked as an independent architect since 1990, with an emphasis on the execution of projects in the fields of architecture and urban planning.

He is currently a tenured professor of Architectural Design at the Faculty of Architecture at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).

His professional trajectory includes conferences in universities and institutions both in his country and abroad, the publication of specialized books and articles, and frequent distinctions in contests.

Founded ARQUIDEA (1986-1990) jointly with other architects with whom he has developed works of public relevance and
been prized in numerous contests.

Its work has been published in magazines specialized of Argentina, Colombia, England, Mexico, Portugal and Peru. In 2006 was chosen by Wallpaper magazine between the 25 innovating architects.
