Vennila Thirumavalavan is an Architect- Urban Designer based in Chennai. She received her B.Arch degree from SAP, Anna University in 1997 and M.Arch degree in Urban Design from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. She is currently director of
Arch-e-studio Chennai Private Limited based in Chennai, India.
Arch-e-studio Chennai Private Limited has won international and national citations for their master planning and architectural design projects focussing on green building, environmental planning, economics and equity.
In October 2007 Archestudio received a Designshare merit award for their Eureka school design.
In July 2007 Archestudio received the Joint First Prize and citation for the ‘National Multipurpose Tsunami Cyclone Shelter Design Competition held by Gandhigram Rural University from President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Archestudio's projects include Community emergency Medical centers and dispensaries, High schools and Healthcare campus master plans
