Esen Gökçe Özdamar was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1978. After gaining her undergraduate degree in architecture she has worked in several architectural and interior design offices for a few years. She is currently a PhD candidate in architectural design programme in Istanbul Technical University. Between academic work and practice, she is now working as a freelance architect and a handmade toy designer.
