After receiving Bachelor degree in Architecture from Bangladesh university of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2008, Md. Mohatz Hossain worked as an associate architect in a consultancy firm. He is a Candidate member of Institutes of Architects Bangladesh since June 2008. He also worked as a ‘Research Assistant’ for Mozammel H Mridha, PhD. research “The Relationship between Residential Satisfaction and Apartment Living in Dhaka Metropolitan Area”, faculty of Architecture, The University of Sydney, Australia. Then he performed as an Office HES (Health and Environmental Safety) Executive for an Interior office construction project with Chevron Bangladesh Company, Dhaka. Meanwhile, He got an award of "General Appreciation" for designing furniture for children in "HATIL Furniture design Competition 2006" organized by Dtc. He started his teaching career as a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) since September 2008. His field of interest is Sustainable urban form, Climate and energy efficient building.
