architect ravi gadre, born in 1954, graduated in 1977,by receiving special medal for throughout excellance in design for five years.won several national awards, like jiia, jk aya,and has designed projects of verious typologies. ravi has been invited to present his works in architectural colleges in india, taiwan,shanghai and has travelled over 20 countries. his projects has been published in magazines like inside outside, a+d, indian architect and builder,buildotech, a&i digest,world architecture beijing,and in books,asian alterity,asian ethical urbanism by ar. william lim,singapore. he strongly believes in modernism.ravi takes lessons from nature for its logic and climate responsiveness, and vernacular for its efficient and intelligent use of available building material and technology for the relevant life in that period.he transforms these lessons learnt for contemperory life , with geomectrial forms juxtaposed in to complexity,but s user and viewer friendly architecture,with conventional building materials and technology,suitable to the region.ravi loves travelling,sketching,photography,drawing carricatures and cartoons which becomes a source of inspiration for his architectural journy.with a critical eye he enjoyes the discrepancies in life. mostly practicing in rural and semiurban cities he faces lots of restrictions but transforming them in to limitations ravi gadres architectural journey can be called as an enjoyment with adevrsities
