Mary Beth Nichols received her Masters in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association’s Design Research Laboratory in 2008. Prior to that she attained her Bachelor’s in Architecture from Drury University, a small liberal arts college in Springfield, Missouri.
Currently, Ms. Nichols is residing in Beijing, China working as an Architect at MASAA (MA Studio of Art and Architecture).
At the onset of her career, Ms. Nichols served as an architectural designer at Eric Owen Moss Architects (Los Angeles, California) and worked as a member of the project team on International Competitions such as the Smithsonian Patent Office Building and the Guangdong Museum in Guangzhou China. She also gained valuable experience in the public realm working as an Assistant City Planner for the City of Springfield, Missouri. Additional professional experience includes Butler Rosenbury & Partners where she designed multi-million dollar high-end hotels and convention centers, as well as AND Architects (London, England) working on projects ranging from residential renovations to the Brentford FootBall Stadium.
