Se Yoon Park is an architect and co-founding principal of Aprilli Design Studio. As Principal in charge, Se Yoon focuses on exploring design with intelligence. Rather than framing design in abstract, he would like to analyze and develop design with objectivity and critical thinking. In 2013, he established HAWIN (How Architecture Works IN) which is an architectural and urban research studio based in New York City and critically has observed and questioned new roles of architecture in an urban context. Se Yoon received Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea) and Master of Architecture Degree from Columbia University (New York, USA) where he received an Honor Awards for Design Excellence and Lucille Lowenfish Memorial prize.He began his professional career working for OMA (Rem Koolhaas) in Netherlands and had worked for REX (Joshua Prince-Ramus), BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and FR-EE (Fernando Romero) during which time he mostly involved in internationally well-known competitions and various range of projects including: YIBD (Yongsan International Business District) R6 in Korea, Shenzhen Stock Exchange office building in China and Koningin Julianplein building in Netherlands.
