Selcuk Avci
We are driven by the pursuit of quality in every sense. Our surroundings directly influence the quality of our lives, whether in the work place, at home or the public spaces in between. This quest embraces the physical performance and engineering of projects. The last few decades have witnessed many changes in public attitudes to the ecology of landscape, and the public realm. There have been great leaps in methods of reduction in energy consumption. Avci has been at the forefront of these developments, and has contributed to the developments in this field. In particular in its second year of formation, the practice won 1st prize in a pan European design competition on energy efficient design. Projects on which the founder of the practice has acted as design director have won an RIBA Regional Award, and a Civic Trust Award.
