I strive to know what buildings are about. What these structures have been in the past and what they could become in the future. My focus lies in the discovery of the architectural object in its own spatial, urban, or existential place. I have studied and faced the challenges of Architectural Conservation in Historic Sites through conducting research and implementing conservation strategies, such as Heritage Management Plans and applying a diverse range of preservation tenets. I have put into practice all of the aforementioned approaches for the past ten years on architectural and urban projects for the recovery and enhancement of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, a World Heritage Site in the Dominican Republic.
