Dr. Quazi Mohd. Mahtab-uz-Zaman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture,
BRAC University in Dhaka {http://www.bracuniversity.ac.bd/directories/www/?code=53481} in Bangladesh.
Dr. Zaman is an architect and urban designer holding a Doctorate degree in Urban Design from Hong Kong University {in 2000}; Masters in Urban Design from Hong Kong University {in 1994} and Bachelor of Architecture degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology {1989}.
He is currently a visiting Fulbright Research Fellow {2007-2008} selected by the CIES, Department of State, USA and American Center in Bangladesh, who is currently visiting in the City and Regional Planning, College of Architecture, Art and Planning, Cornell University from August 29, 2007 to August 15, 2008. At Cornell, Dr. Zaman’s research is about American cities - their planning, people, health and environment hinged on the debate of New Urbanism.
