After graduating as an architect in 2012, Swapnil Joshi worked in Auroville for a few years to explore and experiment alternative lifestyle that focused on holistic development of a human being revolving around the spiritual aim of life.
Since 2017 he started his practise that focuses on research, architecture and planning. For the past 5 years he has been researching on various aspects of Nashik city-region which led to the formation of a working & action group- ‘The NASIK Project’ to propose an alternative vision for future of Nasik City-Region.
In 2024 his first book on Nasik titled ‘What do you want to be, Nasik? Learning from an ancient place’ investigating the spirit of the place is slated to be published.
