Graduated from Mimar Sinan University. She received her Ph.D degree with the thesis titled as `The Interaction of Social and Spatial Change: Istanbul Houses in Republican Period`. She has been teaching in Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture since 1986 and currently gives courses in Cyprus International University, Department of Architecture as a visiting faculty.
