Founded by Akash Dudhe in 2014, SAGI Architects is a multi-disciplinary architecture and interior design practice based in Mumbai. We aspire to create spaces that foster meaningful connections between people and their environment.
Our work is research-based, collaborative and process-driven that responds to people, context and nature. Our approach begins by understanding the relationship between people and the brief, and progresses to reinforce that connection through design. As a design-and-build practice, our approach to each project, irrespective of its type, scale and location, puts the project’s vision at the forefront, striking a balance between aesthetics and technicality.
Short for Studio for Architecture, Graphics and Interiors, SAGI Architects’ portfolio covers a vast range of architecture and interior projects from villas and commercial buildings to high-end residential, commercial and hospitality interiors. Our projects include masterplan for ITM University in Naya Raipur and Serenity Farms & Villas in Khopoli, architectural services for Rajasi Resort in Chittorgarh, site office for J. Kumar, Jhulelal Temple in Chittorgarh, multiple private villas in and around Maharashtra, and interiors for multiple residences and restaurants such as Curry Tales in Mumbai and Maati Baani in Khopoli.
We also work with repurposed shipping containers to deliver sustainable and innovative design solutions. Our work with containers includes projects Mini-Campus for Pratham Education Foundation, a vocational training campus in Aurangabad and Box Carnival, a restaurant for the Kailash Parbat chain in Khopoli – both of which were recognized at the Architecture Ideas Competition by FOAID 2019. Other commissions are the site offices for the Indian Air Force in Uttar Pradesh and multiple projects for the Indian Defense Academy.
Our work has been recognized by some of India’s leading architecture and design publications such as Architect & Interiors India, India Today Homes and India Art n Design.
