Professor Safaa is a Fulbrighter specializing in preparing the built environment for the physically disabled individuals. She has been on leave of abscence for 2 years at the U.A.E.and worked two years in Leeds England. She attended many conferences in Malaysia, Sweden, Argentina, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, U.S.A.i.e. North Carolina, Boston, Kansas City, Zimbabwe and Budapest in the field of Sustainability, Architectural Design, Disability, Low Cost housing and Rehabilitation of the physically Disabled. Dr. Safaa has 2 registered inventions. She speaks English French and a little German besides her native language Arabic. She published the first Arabic Book of Architects on Barrier Free Design An Architect`s tool to prepare the built environment for the disabled individual.She has published many papers in the field of housing, disability, sustainability and Clean production as well as environmental justice. She has been a piano player and passed the exams of the Royal Schools of Music in London until grade 6. She paractices swimming and yoga. She loves travel and enjoys shopping and watching TV.She is a member of father`s and sons society for the mentally disabled child and in the yoga and defence artsociety.
