He graduated in 1985 from Department of Architecture in Karadeniz Technical University BSc with an honour degree and as a research assistant he attended to work in the University. in 1994 he completed his doctorate thesis with “The Analyisis of form in Anatolian Architecture”. He has ranked Assoc.Prof in 2004 and Prof. İn 2011. He was dean of Faculty of Architecture in Karadeniz Technical University in 2011-2012.
He has publications at national and international conference proceedings, articles in scientific journals and various architectural publications. He has also a published book as “Visual Dictionary for Anatolian Turkish Architecture”.
He participated various national and international architectural design competition in addition with his academic and scientific studies. As well as he has 40 prize for architectural design competition at the same time he also awarded for graphics presentation in national architectural exhibition.
Prof.Dr. Ayhan Usta participated and organized serious Congress, Seminars, Exhibitions and Workshops. Furthermore, He contributed in science as being academic member of scientific councils, editor, moderator, scientific research executive and dissertation supervisor. At the Academics of Istanbul Kultur University, he has been working in Architecture Faculty, The Department of Architecture since October, 2012.
