A graduate of the METU, Faculty of Architecture in Ankara, Turkey, Cengiz Kabaoğlu is the founding partner of KA-BA Ltd. Previously, he worked as a university architect at METU Rectorate Department of Construction - Architectural Bureau and later joined the Vanlı Architecture in Algiers as a design architect. KA-BA, an architectural company established in 1987, specializes in the conservation of cultural heritage, and has, under Cengiz Kabaoğlu’s leadership, completed over 120 projects of varying scales in Turkey and abroad. KA-BA received numerous awards including two Europa Nostra Awards – EU Prize for Cultural Heritage.
