Reily Joel Calderón Rivera, a Puerto Rican, white and queer cissexual man, was born on February 22, 1995 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Part of his life took place in the town of Cidra, located in the mountainous interior of the Caribbean island. In 2012 he graduated with the concentration of Architectural Drawing from the Cidra Vocational High School and in that same year he was accepted into the School of Architecture of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, located in the capital city, San Juan. In 2017 he obtained his bachelor's degree in Environmental Design granted by the School of Architecture and a certification of studies on Women and Gender offered by the Faculty of General Studies of the same Campus. At this time, he is completing his graduate thesis research. As part of his training, he had the opportunity to prepare himself as a future architect and take courses related to the social constructions of the body and gender, and performative manifestations. Simultaneously, he belonged to and headed the Student Council of the School of Architecture, founded together with his colleagues the student cooperative MarroneoCOOP and was part of the Advisory Body for the Development of Río Piedras.
