Graduated in 1990 from University of Moratuwa. Obtained the Master of Architecture degree from the same university in 1992 and became a corporate member of Sri Lanka Institute of Architects SLIA, in 1995.Registered as a chartered architect with Architects Registration Board (ARB) in 1995. Became a Fellow Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects in 2018
My long experience with multi-faceted building projects brought good recognition by many local and international organizations.
Designing of 600 bed new maternity hospital in Galle for Ministry of Health, GOSL which is the largest Maternity Hospital in the country brought me a strong recognition and experience as a health care facility designer.
Lead consultant for designing holiday resorts. Engaged in designing car show rooms for premium brands and vehicle assembly plants to international standards for major vehicle dealers in the country. Modern apartment design is part of the job profile and was a member of a team participated in design competitions for major apartment complexes in the city of Colombo. Apart from these engagements designing personalized houses for friends is my hobby.
Experience of doing architectural conservation of archaeological monuments under UNESCO which is the passion. At present engaged as a consultant for Architectural Conservation of Heritage & Monuments in Southern Province of Sri Lanka under UNESCO Sri Lanka Cultural Triangle.
Obtained special architect’s training on designing and installation of pre-cast concrete buildings with German and Finish specialists. Exposure to Pre-Engineered building industry and the ability to handle the designs suitable for the system had been an advantage for many clients.
