Marcos Cereto, PhD candidate, works on the modern architecture of Amazonia and its national and transnational connections with Latin American cultural institutions.  He is a faculty member at Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM, Department of Architecture and Urbanism. Before coming to UFAM, he was Rector of Lutheran University of Manaus - CEULM/ULBRA. He was founder of  Modern Architecture Seminar of Amazonia - SAMA , and participated in the organization of I SAMA (Manaus, 2016), II SAMA (Palmas, 2017) and III SAMA (Belém, 2018)  presenting his research on modern architecture in Amazonas and Severiano Porto Architect.  He also was founder Exhibition of Contemporary Architecture in the Amazon - XAMA. He is at work on a AMAzônia Moderna Journal at Federal University of Tocantins - UFT about Modern Arts and Architecture on Amazonia.
