Architect Patricia Green is a graduate of the Architectural Association School of Architecture in the UK and also holds a Masters Degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania in the USA. She has helped to pioneer building and urban conservation work and its critical thinking and policy-making in the Caribbean. Currently, she is pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Seville in Spain in the programme Arquitectura, Patrimonio y Medio Ambiente: Investigación, Reflexión y Acción, [Architecture, Heritage and Environment: Investigation, Reflection and Action]. She has designed houses and other projects including at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. A distinguished membership of "La Cathedra de Gonzalez de Cardenas for Vernacular Architecture” for the study and promotion of Vernacular Architecture in Cuba, the Caribbean and internationally, she has contributed to the World Encyclopaedia of World Vernacular Architecture and other publications. She consults internationally through agencies such as UNESCO on cultural heritage management and conservation of the built environment for cultural tourism and sustainable development. She is also an Associate Professor.
