Stairs to the sky
The memorial area has been separated into 3 main zones: wooden area for open public events, the actual memorial dedicated to Holocaust victims in form of stairs pointed to the sky that are completed by the memorandum.
Metal cage with water under it makes special effects (smoke, effervesce) which symbolize Holocaust victims’ tortures and sorrow.
Uprising stairs are placed on iron-concrete askew stage, where water-cover flows symbolizing time. The expression “remember me” is engraved on the inclined walls in different languages.
In front of the visitor going up the stairs is the sky surrounded by walls and inclined-stage stairs and above are the sky and the sea (the symbols of eternity and infinity).
In night lighting inside of two-layer walls the rays of the light will underline the writings engraved on the walls. The rays stretched to the eternity will symbolize freedom.
