Panah is a residential project named "Shelter," reflecting a unique approach to the concept of habitation, shaped by both its users and its surrounding environment. This project originated from the request of an individual from Sistan and Baluchestan, someone who now lives elsewhere but spent his childhood in this region, amid its challenges, deprivations, and limitations. He envisions a home that invites him back—a place that welcomes him to relive and reconnect with his roots. He desired a residence that resonates with the spirit of the community, a familiar symbol engaging in dialogue with local culture. To embody this, Panah incorporates elements of Sistani architecture(Gerdtoop the sign of Sistan and Baluchestan culture), transforming it into a recognizable landmark and rising from the ground to embrace its inhabitants. The roof extends as a continuation of the land itself, creating a space that draws children to play and offering a protective layer beneath, inviting the community to gather. The central opening bridges the roof with the lower levels, becoming a focal point where life converges, a space for the owner to stand, observe, and immerse himself in the daily rhythm of the community. Ultimately, Panah embodies a dual essence—a private residence intertwined with a social experience, harmonizing with the local culture and environment.
