KANYON

Kanyon is designed to be a stylish neighborhood where interaction between the neighbors is motivated and all functions of contemporary city life are solved within the complex; Kanyon is a diverse mix of residences, offices, retail stores, entertainment facilities and public spaces surrounded by landscaped common gardens in the center of the city, Levent, Istanbul.

Interior streets encircled by courtyards associate all buildings and areas that cause to feel like you are in a compact city. Soft curves of each building, location of spaces and their connection arcs create an elegant flow; the verdant route provides a feeling of profundity, freedom and choice.

In this complex, the tallest building is the 25-story office tower, a concrete building sheathed in glass, which is the main construction of the boulevard. Below 15-story residential building at split-levels, 4 stories along the site is reserved for the retail space for 170 shops, 9 theaters, a supermarket, restaurants, cafes, bars, sports and spa center, open and closed swimming pool. 179 apartment residences with 20 different floor plans, varying in size from 80sqm to 380sqm, look over the shopping platform; multiple entrances at different levels provide easy access to the retail zone from the city as well, including the one of the below grade subway station. Rather then a closed shopping center, an open, natural street-shopping atmosphere for all seasons is complemented on 40.000 m². Each apartment is located at such an angle that they all have a pleasant view of the valley and preserve their privacy at the same time.

Daring and outstanding form of the complex is supported by the use of natural stones and special building materials. Light earth tone stone and painted copper metal belts are the main constituents of the façade. The architectural design aims to engage the natural light and cityscape inside the building where at the southern front sun screening provided.

Load bearing building system is reinforced concrete framework and steel, and the foundation system is foundation raft.

In terms of functions Kanyon is a hybrid complex, which adds modern values to the city life, sets new trends and grants a city square and a green, active pedestrian zone in the heart of the city.
