Reconversion of Izmir Hilton: Izmir Hilton as a Resting Point (Healing Campus)

The Izmir Hilton area is a central location with a busy business life and a high density of people. Izmir Hilton is considered as a new breath of fresh air and a resting point in terms of re-functioning. It offers the opportunity to experience the city better while being a little further away from the crowds. The project aims to work with two programs as crossprogramming.
The functions of the faculty of fine arts and the therapy center were chosen as two independent yet interdependent programs. This structure is built on a trace of art and therapy. There's a line that passes through the user's body, but also penetrates their soul. This line, passing through voids, transformsinto moments of self-discovery. Every courtyard is a stop, every transition a moment to leave a mark. Not an escape, but a trace of transformation, slowing down, and awareness.
Focal points have been created at specific points within the building. These focal points are filled with spaces that reflect traces of art and therapy. These focal points also provide opportunities to experience the city. They form green centers that allow the building to breathe. Provides access to nature health well-being. It creates an experience both inside and outside the building. The Izmir Hilton invites escape, drawing people away from the busyness and creating a relaxing space. The void provides a flow within the structure. We believe buildings can make people happy.
