For South Korea’s largest e-commerce company, establishing its Indian back-end operations hub, the design brief required the translation of digital speed into physical form. The result is an office that operates at "rocket speed," both literally and conceptually, embedding the company's delivery-focused ethos into every spatial decision. The project, completed within three months, reconciles global brand identity with agile infrastructure, creating an environment designed for collaboration, acoustic clarity, and programmatic flexibility.
The idea of the delivery box served as a conceptual focus from the outset. This signature element of e-commerce logistics is expressed as a recurring motif throughout the office, woven into materiality, graphics, and spatial composition. The company's iconic rocket mascot, handcrafted in FRP and mounted on an illuminated podium beneath a stretch fabric ceiling, greets employees at arrival, standing before backlit lacquered glass displaying the brand’s vision statement. Adjacent to the reception, a touch-interactive screen enables real-time booking of agile seats and meeting rooms, enabling employees to navigate directly to reserved locations while doubling as a help desk access point.
Strategic Zoning
The floor plate divides into two distinct zones, each defined by its own colour scheme. The right wing features shades of orange, reflected in custom gradient carpets, while the left transitions features variations of blue. This colour-coded division strategically aligns with fire safety zoning, segregating the space into Fire Compartments 1 and 2. This segregation of spaces serves as intuitive wayfinding and lends the office a unique spatial character.
The lift lobby features dual entries, ensuring clear circulation hierarchies. The security operational room sits adjacent to the boardroom and vendor meeting room, creating a progression from public arrival to meeting areas. On the alternate side, a compact pantry offers amphitheatre seating with agile furniture, while a curved meeting room wraps around an integrated phone booth. The central cluster operates on sliding-folding partition systems, allowing three meeting rooms--with capacities ranging from 10 to 22 people--to reconfigure entirely into a single large forum when required.
Acoustic Infrastructure
Acoustic performance is incorporated across ceilings, partitions, and surfaces in response to the client's mandate for superior audio quality in all collaborative environments. Meeting rooms feature seamless curved glass partitions with translucent frosting that maintains privacy while allowing spatial continuity. Wood-finished metal baffles line ceilings, integrating sound control with material warmth. High-end AV infrastructure is seamlessly woven throughout, with mobile screens providing maximum flexibility.
The standout ‘carton box’ collaboration room incorporates acoustic panels printed with folded packaging textures, creating an ‘unfolding’ effect. Outfitted with fully customised sliding-folding partitions, powder-coated frames, and timber doors, the room functions as both a sculptural feature and a high-performance workspace. The recreation room occupies the floor plate edge, featuring basketball court-inspired linear lighting visible from the exterior.
Central Core and Flexible Infrastructure
Critical functions are concentrated within a central core. The IT help desk and Network Operations Center anchor this zone, with a spine between the two zones conceived as a library corridor with seating and hydration points. The IT desk features a stretch fabric ceiling and cove-lit counter, positioned adjacent to the cafeteria to enable informal access.
Behind the IT desk, the monitoring room functions as a surveillance and control centre with three-level stepped seating and high-touch workstations equipped with six configurable LED panels. The adjacent 52-seat training room transforms via sliding-folding doors that open onto the cafeteria, creating a 200-seat all-hands venue supported by duplication screens. Equipped with the NEAT system for its clarity and intuitive interface, the room features three distinct AV configurations and a dual-camera setup: one focused on participants, the other on the host, enabling broadcast-quality communication. A raised LVT-finished podium provides a formal address point, reinforcing the room's role as a fully integrated learning and presentation hub.
Brand Language
The company’s core values are translated into binary code format, creating a 10-meter-wide installation that bridges both the orange and blue zones. This technological language reinforces digital DNA while establishing unified visual vocabulary across distinct spatial zones. Directional graphics guide movement through word-based navigation, differentiating pathways between hemispheres. Gaming zones feature vibrant graphics such as leaves and organic motifs that coordinate with each zone's respective palette. Interactive tic-tac-toe installations with storage baskets encourage spontaneous play beyond digital screens.
Corridors feature wooden LED-lit panels forming a history wall that chronicles the brand's complete journey. Surfaces combine concrete-textured finishes with light strips, while recessed panels create dimensional shifts across different programmatic zones. Throughout, collaboration zones are composed against muted bases, punctuated with saturated accent colours that immediately draw focus.
Biophilic Edges and Flexible Typologies
Biophilic strategies incorporated into the design include landscaped edges, integrated greenery, and sculptural lighting that lend a gentle softness to the workspace. Glazed seating zones along the periphery are framed by greenery, reinforcing continuous connection to nature. The terrace transforms into a sunset viewing deck by evening, activated with agile seating. Sculptural wooden block seating pairs with planters, while metal baffles with wood-textured finishes contrast against columns in exposed concrete texture. Durable external-grade furniture ensures the space remains active, flexible, and open to the elements.
The café features corner seating configurations that maximise capacity and spatial intimacy. Overhead, a sculptural acoustic ceiling of stretched fabric forms a flowing ribbon-like composition, integrated with the company's values, vision statements, and key quotes. At night, the illuminated ceiling becomes visible from the building façade, transforming the interior into a glowing urban landmark. The same ribbon language is etched into muted grey flooring tiles, reinforcing a sense of spatial continuity.
