region in northern Iran — an area known for its lush nature, humid climate, and distinctive cultural identity. These houses reflect a deep and enduring connection between architecture, environment, and everyday life, expressing both the wisdom of local craftsmanship and the social character of the community.

The project aims to reinterpret these fundamental principles through a contemporary architectural approach, transforming the essence of traditional design into a modern language that resonates with today’s materials, technologies, and spatial experiences. Instead of recreating old forms, Box No. 7 seeks to capture the underlying logic and emotional depth that define Gilan’s built heritage, exploring new potentials in form, function, and atmosphere.

Two core notions — suspension and introversion — guide the design. Suspension conveys a sense of lightness and separation from the ground, emphasizing fluidity and balance within the natural setting. Introversion, in contrast, evokes privacy and calm, creating a protected inner world that maintains a subtle dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Through this synthesis, Box No. 7 aspires to bridge memory and modernity, reimagining tradition in a timeless architectural expression.
