The Townhouse in Armenia

The Townhouse in Armenia is conceived as an exploration of the delicate dialogue between contextual heritage and contemporary living. Rooted in the use of local volcanic tuff stone and articulated through pure geometric volumes, the project seeks to translate the essence of place into a distinctly modern expression. Light, carefully calibrated, becomes a primary design material, shaping perception, animating surfaces, and mediating the boundary between interior and exterior.

Interior Design
The interiors are defined by clarity, proportion, and material authenticity. A restrained palette of textures, from tactile stone to smooth plaster surfaces, sets the stage for natural light to orchestrate the atmosphere throughout the day. Spaces are organized with a sense of fluid continuity, allowing inside and outside to merge seamlessly. This creates an environment that is not only functional but also refined and human-centered, balancing comfort with a quiet sense of contemporary elegance.

Exterior Design
The architectural composition is a study in geometric simplicity and material expression. The facade juxtaposes solidity and openness, with the rich texture of tuff stone contrasted against clean modern lines. The townhouse anchors itself to its urban fabric while projecting a timeless yet forward-looking identity. The exterior presence is both robust and permeable, reflecting the dual ambition of heritage and progress.

In its entirety, the project represents an attempt to synthesize local tradition and modern aspirations, offering a home that is simultaneously contextual and contemporary, enduring yet adaptable.
