The idea of “On the Orbit of Mars” was inspired by a futuristic vision of the year 2060 — an era when humans have established colonies on the Red Planet, and women play a pioneering role in shaping this new civilization. Within this narrative, the beauty salon becomes more than a service space: it transforms into a metaphorical platform for renewal, empowerment, and feminine independence in an otherworldly setting.
The design translates this story into architectural language through:
• An interior evoking a space station, using reflective surfaces, mirrors, and metallic finishes that immerse visitors in a cosmic atmosphere.
• Linear and floating light strips, symbolizing orbital paths and the sensation of weightlessness.
• Arched mirrors framed in polished metal, conceived as portals between Earth and Mars, allowing each visitor to experience themselves in a timeless, placeless dimension.
• Raw stone bases anchoring the mirrors, reminiscent of Martian soil and rocks — a juxtaposition of roughness and delicacy, earth and cosmos.
• Sequential arrangement of mirrors and chairs in orbital rhythm, reinforcing the feeling of movement within a spatial orbit.
The result is a sensory journey: a passage into a world where self-care transcends daily routine and becomes a ritual between Earth and the stars.

Project Message
“On the Orbit of Mars” is not merely a beauty salon; it is a spatial narrative where women reclaim beauty as a symbol of strength, independence, and a reimagined future.
--------------
“The mirror becomes a gateway between Earth and Mars; transforming everyday reality into a futuristic experience.”

“The duality of Earth and Mars is reflected in the design; merging earthly materials with orbital forms creates an experience between reality and future.”
“The interior, with its linear geometry and lighting, becomes a passageway of orbits; the user transitions from Earth into a mental journey around Mars.”

“The linear arrangement of seats combined with orbital lighting creates a space reminiscent of a space station; where self-care transforms into an experience between Earth and Mars. The contrasting color palette—deep black, metallic shine, and natural green—clearly reflects the duality of Earth and Space.”
“The spatial organization ensures a smooth and uninterrupted flow of movement; clear separation of functions prevents overlaps, creating a calm and well-ordered experience.”
